How I started
Swim lessons at a local YMCA.
Why I love it
Great workout, it's fun, it's like vinyasa / flow yoga while floating in water - a beautiful moving meditation where physical movements are linked with the breath.
How I stay motivated
Maintain a balanced and healthy lifestyle as well as just get to the pool, just jump in, just go for it and just swim whatever I feel I need at that moment. No pressure to be competitive with myself or anyone else.
Every breath, every feeling, every thought, every word, every action is an accomplishment.
My entire life. We are all yogis who practice different types and styles of "yoga" that we may or may not call "yoga".
It began naturally and organically. I did, and still do, what my mind, body and spirit/energy wanted and still want for me to do - balance mind, body & spirit/energy.
Practicing yoga helps me remind myself of the connection that exists between mind, body and spirit/energy.
I practice yoga everyday.
Life is a journey and every breath is a beautiful accomplishment.
