Question in
My husband is training for a major physical test in the Air Force, we are looking for a 400m track where he can work on his speed but all the tracks in our area belong to Schools. Do you know if schools are usually willing to let local residents use their tracks for training?

While there are exceptions, most schools don't allow visitors to use their facilities during school hours. He could try to use them after school, but it's currently track season so that might be difficult as well. Regardless, he should contact the school and speak with the Athletic Director. He or she will let you know exactly when and how to use the facilities -- they might even be willing to make an exception and grant your husband a pass since he's training for the Air Force.

The schools we have contacted all turned him down for liability issues. We made due and created our own "track" with 4 pickets probably not as accurate as an actual track but for it will work for now :-)
