Is badminton easier than tennis?

These two sports require entirely different skill sets in order to play each well. That being said, the speed and trajectory of a shuttle can make badminton an easier sport to learn.

Competition-wise, I would not argue one way or the other. While the popularity of tennis in the US would probably give rise to greater competition, the same could be said of badminton in Asian and even European countries.
